iPhone 4 Jailbroken!
Woot... can't wait to get this out so I can update my 3GS. =)
Planetbeing has successfully jailbroken the iPhone 4 using comex's userland jailbreak code!
Think I'm the first one I know about to get a root shell (and SSH) on iPhone 4, using poor @comex's code (since he has no iPhone 4).
Below you can see a high resolution screenshot of Cydia that MuscleNerd posted in a congratulations tweet to both hackers.

Unfortunately, p0sixninja says that this jailbreak cannot be released publicly as it contains some of Apple's software.the jailbreak shown is a more of a stepping stone for us, it can't be released because it includes some of apples software
Planetbeing has confirmed this saying: Don't want to speak for @comex, but afaik no one has breathed a word about release date and what we have right now is nowhere ready.

GeoHot Has Released His Own iPhone 3GS Unlock
GeoHot has released his unlock solution for the iPhone 3GS. GeoHot has made the claim that purplesn0w is less prone to failure sparking a Twitter debate between he and iPhone Dev-Team's very own MuscleNerd.
Wifi fails? Battery fails? Unlock fails? You need purplesn0w, the geohot 3GS unlock solution. Now I know you here a lot about different colors of sn0w, but I'm here to tell you why purplesn0w is the best. First off, what is purplesn0w? It's a soft unlock for your 3GS that I'd actually use day to day. It's not a daemon that takes any resources, and it doesn't add a task to your baseband. It's very close to a true unlock. All it does is patch three files, CommCenter, lockdownd, and your wildcard activation plist(which you need, activate w at&t sim first, no hacktivation support yet). That's it, no other files are installed. Props to Oranav for the at+xlog exploit!
A full explanation is coming soon, but I think you clever reversers out there will see what it does, and see why it's so pristineThe payload is radically different from other varieties of sn0w. beta as usual, back up first.
Be sure to have legit activated 3GS
Disable 3G if you don't have it(like T-Mobile).
Add apt.geohot.com to Cydia
Install com.geohot.purplesn0w
Watch for success output in Cydia
Reboot, and enjoy your unlocked iPhone

Good news? The iPhone Dev-Team has released Pwnage Tool 3.0.
Bad news? It requires a Mac. (Well I guess this isn't bad news for everybody.)
Good news? This will work for the iPhone, iPhone 3G (Jailbreak only) and the 1st gen. iPod Touch.
Bad news? It will only Jailbreak the iPhone 3G and not unlock it, it does not work for the iPhone 3G s, or the 2nd gen. iPod Touch.
